About

The public is invited to a free opening reception and artist talk for Pushing Forward: Politics, Social Conflict, and the Racial Divide in the Art of Kevin Cole.

Pushing Forward is a collection of the Pine Bluff native and Atlanta-based artist’s paintings, prints, and sculptures developed throughout his career. Cole’s works are imbued with symbolism that speaks to the weight of racial injustice.

The exhibition will be on view from March 14 to Sept. 6, 2025, in the International Paper Gallery at The Arts & Science Center. Debuting at the University of Maryland Global Campus Arts Program, the exhibition makes its second stop at the ARTx3 Campus.

The exhibition is sponsored by Simmons Bank.
