This year’s Archaeology Month theme is Community, and we’re excited to bring it to life with an event that explores the shared history of cooking and meal-making.
Hosted by the Arkansas Archaeological Survey and ARTx3, this family-friendly event will dive into ancient cooking practices, techniques, tools, and traditions, revealing how food has always been at the heart of building and sustaining communities.
Learn how ancient communities made meals using traditional tools and methods.
Connect with others by exploring the shared human experience of preparing and sharing food.
Taste native-inspired dishes and leave with knowledge about the deep roots of culinary traditions.
Second Saturday Family FunDay is free and open to the public.
The ARTx3 Campus' Second Saturday Family FunDay program offers monthly hands-on arts and science activities in which visitors create art, complete science projects, or perform dance, music, or theater. Activities complement current art or science exhibitions. Activities are free and led by visiting artists, local art educators, and staff.
