The facility received a Bronze Award for Adaptive Reuse at the South Central ASID 2021 Excellence in Design Awards. The awards were presented Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, during the Excellence in Design Awards Gala in Little Rock.
A project of The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, The ARTSpace and its sister facility ART WORKS on Main were completed and opened to the public this year.

AMR Architects of Little Rock led the design, collaborating with designLAB architects in Boston. AMR worked closely with the ASC Endowment Fund’s building subcommittee on the design plans.
East Harding Construction of Little Rock oversaw the construction and renovation of the 100-year-old buildings.

The American Society of Interior Design (ASID) advances the interior design profession and communicates the impact of design on the human experience, according to its website. The South Central Chapter of ASID is comprised of nearly 700 student and professional members throughout Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
